Grand Canyon Railway, of Flagstaff

Now in the 60th year of their partnership in marriage and business, Max and Thelma Biegert command a unique place in the saga of Arizona tourism and American railroading. Specific award categories will be announced at the event.

"The companies receiving the Spirit of Enterprise Awards are leaders both in their businesses and in the community," said Mary Lou Bessette, Director Emerita, Spirit of Enterprise Center. “Their high standards of leadership and service set examples that give our students the opportunity to study entrepreneurship and learn from people who have built their dreams into successful businesses."

A newly designed award sculpture will debut as part of the Spirit of Enterprise 10th anniversary celebration. The original design is the work of Cave Creek artist, Bill Greaves, of Concept West.
