I have a problem with my sound card or some program attatched to it..It was working fine until I downloaded a voice program. I can adjust volume with the speaker in task bar but only with one click. the full audio adjustments don't come up ,just the over all volume comes up. If I double click the speaker the volume control box shows up in task bar but not on desk top..what am I to do?

If your volumn control is not working after you downloaded a voice program, it may be because you downloaded a .wav file with that voice program.
When you played the .wav file on your computer, and then adjust the volumn on the taskbar, the volumn adjustment was ignored.
This behavor occurs because IBM computers have the Autodesk Device Interface (ADI) codec, which is incompatible with the Audio Codec (AC) Intel audio driver.
Resolution:
1 Play a .wav file
2 Double-Click Volumn on the taskbar
3 In the Volumn Control Dialog Box, adjust the volumn on the wave volume panel and not the volumn control panel.
This Issue affects IBM computers.
