OK, my modem works under Windows XP, but will not work under Windows 2000 Professional. I tried to change the COM port it was on, and it didn't work (both in Windows and physically), I tried to find drivers for the modem, and nothing. It's a SMART Modular Technologies 56K modem. Thanks for any help you may have!

I went to the Conexant web site, http://conexant.com/support and then Modem Driver Assistance Click Agree and you should get the Driver download page You can download drivers for Win98SE, ME, 2K, XP, and Linux.

Hope this helps Good Luck!
