Looking forward to 2008 (in technology)

As we look back at all of technology that permeates our lives, we should expect new and wonderful things to make their mark in 2008.

Most of the new stuff is likely to be a rehash of existing technology or strange new "solutions searching for a problem" but there will be something in 2008 that will have a real impact.
