You've made a great choice in compaq, I bought mine last year and have really enjoyed it I happened to buy a 17" ViewSonic monitor when I purchased it The plug and play intalled the monitor with no problems. For the transfer of your data on your other computer; copy this data to floppy disks and then just insert the flopppies on your new computer and transfer to documents If you have programs that you want to move, you'll just have to reinstall the programs from the disk or download form the Internet.

Good luck and enjoy your compaq.
