The Office 97 Service Release 1 (SR-1) makes it easier for users of different versions of Office to share files with one another In particular, SR-1 includes the Word 6.0/95 Binary Converter for Word 97, which enables Word 97 users to save files in the Word 6.0/95 native file format SR-1 also delivers enhanced support for POP3 and SMTP Internet e-mail in the Outlook 97 desktop information manager, the new Microsoft Access Snapshot, support for Intel's MMX technology, and various new viewers, converters and other minor enhancements and updates More information about the bugs are available at http://www.microsoft.com/office/office97/servicerelease/

Available Fixes: If you already downloaded the first edition of the Service Release, get http://www.microsoft.com/officefreestuff/office/sr1offup.exe
